Kids Cookbook: About Mallory Rat

	About Mallory Mallory Rat lives in the countryside with his human friends, David, Camilla and Rachael. His Grandrat (a rat's grandfather) has a house with a big garden, where Mallory has his very own vegetable patch. There he helps his friends to grow some of the ingredients for his recipes. Although he is rather small, and finds things like microwave ovens very scary, he is an enthusiastic cook who will lend a paw whenever he is needed. He is particularly keen on cakes, salads and vegetables, and will try cooking almost anything if it looks good to eat. He has traveled all around the UK, much of Europe (he lived for a year in France), and India, Nepal and Uganda. Everywhere he goes, he learns new recipes and discovers new ingredients. When he has enough time he writes about his travels and new recipes. The rest of the time he eats, sleeps, visits friends, grows vegetables and has fun. His favourite colours are yellow and green.
His favourite foods	Cake, lettuce, apples, potatoes, ice cream, cabbage, and those little bags of dried food you can buy in pet shops.
His favourite things	Cooking, traveling, growing vegetables and reading books.
Things he doesn't like	Cats, hungry caterpillars (they eat his vegetables), cold weather, getting his tail muddy, and microwave ovens.
